Our corporate office, in Poteau, OK, is head of our operations with a call center that dispatches all work order information to and from Dish Network directly with either a technician or the customer on the phone. Poteau, OK is also the location for our Payroll, Accounting, and Special Operations departments which continually work hard to ensure that everyone gets a check on time and that all operations are continued as planned.

Summary:

After completion of our three week training period:

The Satellite Installation and Repair Technician will be expected to efficiently and professionally install and repair DISH Network Satellite equipment and service at customer sites. The installer will install all necessary equipment to complete the assigned work that ensures complete customer satisfaction while adhering to industry and company technical standards.

Position Responsibilities:

• Install and service equipment (includes, but is not limited to: Satellite Dishes, LNB’s wiring, multi-switches, receivers,etc) at customer locations
• Install and service peripheral equipment related to satellite equipment installations. (Includes, but is not limited to: off-air antennas, telephone outlets, wired and wireless remote extenders, internet service, and surge protectors)
• Provide the highest quality customer education in the proper use of equipment and/or services installed
• Reconcile all assigned work to company and vendor call centers
• Maintain proper paperwork related to all assigned work
• Maintain and keep secure all issued equipment and materials and report any losses to appropriate personnel immediately
• Work under minimal supervision on duties and assigned tasks of substantial variety and complexity
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs, perform overhead activities, and climb ladders
• Ability to work at heights of 40 feet or more
• Ability to perform assigned duties in a small or poorly lit spaces
• Ability to use mechanical and electrical power tools and handle physically exerting workload
• Ability to perform work outside for extended periods of time
• Visual capability to perform close exacting work
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain an acceptable driving record as determined by SSI’s insurance carrier
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Availability to work weekends, both Saturday and Sunday
• Commitment to be at work fully prepared and on time for the entire duration of every scheduled work day

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Job-related experience in CATV, Security, or Satellite installation related fields a plus
• Fundamental knowledge of building construction, wiring and installation codes preferred but not required.
